The Association - "Everything That Touches You"

The Association, one of the best-sounding harmonious groups I have ever heard, first performed this song in 1968. Although just about every song they do is good, this is right at, or at least near, the top of the list. They are known for their hits "Cherish", "Windy", and "Along Comes Mary", but this song fits right up there with those.

The "Train Song"

Those that have gotten to know me well know that I like some of the old musicals. One of my favorites is "The Music Man" from 1962 starring Robert Preston. This is one of the better songs from that film, and it falls in the opening scene. It's called "Rock Island", but to me better known as "The Train Song". I'm On TV Camera!

Not everyone gets the chance to find themselves in media coverage. Because of my involvement in Middle Tennessee politics, I received the opportunity on several occasions. Here are two of the more prominent times I was covered in media. The first is when I was elected to the Vice Chairman's seat in the Putnam County Republican Party in January 2009. The second is from just last week, when I held my first meeting as interim chairman of the same organization.
